FAQs
What’s a typical countertop depth?
Most kitchen benchtops are about 600 mm (24″) deep. Measure yours to be sure.
How much waste should I allow?
5–15% is common depending on material and layout. Complex L-shapes, patterns and seams often need more.
Are sink and cooktop cutouts included in material cost?
Fabricators usually charge separately for cutouts. Add a per-cutout amount in the calculator to reflect local quotes.
Do I need a backsplash?
Optional. If you plan a slab backsplash, include its length × height and a price per m²/ft² to estimate the cost.
